My Challenge

If you’re like me, after being in the facilities management field and building services consulting for many years, it gets tiring struggling with a rack full of notebooks, Microsoft™ Excel spread sheets, various manual and computer-based reports, Post-It Notes…well you know what it’s like.  You hope to make the best possible decisions but know you’re too often flying by the seat of your pants.

To minimise the unreasonable amount of time searching for information every time I needed to make a decision, I created a spread sheet system from disparate data sources, but even that was not robust and or flexible enough to meet the demands of capital planning and daily operational needs.

Our Journey

So I started searching for something to meet the needs of our business.  As of today, I’ve tried and evaluated dozens of these products and found most are simply applications someone’s tweaked and relabelled facilities management.  I was compelled to investigate developing a solution that would deliver practical, flexible and scalable functionality for the property management industry.

So I asked my business partner, Carla Kossally, who has worked in the software industry for over 10 years to help me. She’s a software designer and IT project management consultant with over 20 years experience consulting in banking, accounting and IT, advising, designing, building and testing cloud applications for business. She joined my investigation.
